Editorial Policy
Effective 11 August 2026.
Scope and usefulness
Each page should answer one distinct user task. A working tool or direct answer appears before supporting detail. Pages are not padded to a word count, and a changing limit is included only when a current primary source can support it.
Sources
Discord Support, Discord Developer Documentation, Discord Status, and official Discord announcements are preferred for platform facts. Competitor pages can reveal a user question but are not treated as authority for a changing limit.
Testing and review
Tool code is checked against boundary and invalid-input cases. Manual browser or device testing is claimed only when completed and recorded. A source-review date means the linked material was checked; it does not imply every browser was tested.
AI assistance
AI can assist with drafting and test ideas, but it is not a factual source. The owner must verify claims, examples, links, and tool behavior before publication.
Independence and corrections
ThisCord Tools is not affiliated with Discord. Editorial or factual concerns can be sent to darth9081@gmail.com and are handled under the Corrections Policy.
Page ownership and search intent
One URL should answer one main task. Closely related variations belong in the same useful page when they lead to the same tool, while genuinely different intent receives a separate page. Keywords describe the user problem and do not justify repetitive paragraphs, hidden text, unsupported claims, or near-duplicate pages.
Update standards
Time-sensitive material should identify a primary source and a genuine review date. A page is updated when the source or tool is actually checked, not simply to create a fresh sitemap date. If current facts cannot be verified, the statement is qualified, removed, or held from publication.
Examples, comparisons, and commercial influence
Examples must be reproducible and must not invent testimonials, traffic, partnerships, tests, or Discord statements. Comparisons should explain meaningful differences and source changing features. Advertising, if introduced, must remain visually separate and cannot purchase a favourable editorial conclusion.
